Our Story
We are the daughters of addiction providing space for transformation.
La Shonda & Rachel are both daughters of substance disorder. They experienced their father’s not being around, as well as losing people & possessions because of their addiction. Their fathers did not become successful and their dreams were not accomplished. But La Shonda and Rachel survived through the grace of GOD.
“We decided that we want to help those who needed a hand. A veteran that needs a quiet place to rest her mind. A person in drug court that needs a new and stable environment. Our seniors that have worked so hard in their life and now can’t afford to live in a “senior living” facility. Women who have been promised a good life but instead must sell their body to survive. Our mission is to support them through their recovery, help them to become self-sufficient, but most of all create a compassionate home that fosters personal growth.”

Our Admission Process
Our simple, straightforward admissions process is designed to create an easy process for getting people the help they need. First the individual needs to have a strong desire to maintain recovery.
During the initial call, a phone interview will be scheduled. Our staff will be able to answer any questions you may have at this time.
The interview, which will last approximately 30 minutes, may take place either by phone or over Zoom. You’ll speak with our staff to ensure that the candidate is a good cultural fit with Mary Carol’s Foundation. They will also explain and review the program rules.
The potential resident will need to meet our Admission Criteria, complete a telephone/Zoom interview, and have a non-refundable entry fee available.
